Addison Room Ideas!

Here are some room ideas that I have been thinking about for Addison's Post Baby Room! She would have a single bed, and I have a bed frame that I am going to re-finish, but I like the armoire. I bet I could have it made for a bit cheaper than Land of Nod wants to sell it for! :o) Maybe Joe could take up carpentry! ;o)

Boise, September 2009

I spent some time with my mom in Boise, as well. We spent our time in down town Boise! We got to walk around and experience parts of Boise, I forgot was there. We also attended a Tea Party event downtown. It was really low key, like any other event with music and booths. The girls danced around, and loved being in the grass! We had a very enjoyable time! We love ya Mom/Grammy! Thanks for showing us more of Boise!

More from Labor Day weekend, 2009

I am going to try and keep up with this blog a little more. I have a new class starting next week, but I am going to keep trying! I didn't realize anyone even looked at this. I normally, just put a few pictures on here or there, but my Papa said that he looks at my blog from time to time. Therefore, if I have interest, then I will try to keep up!
Here are some pictures I have posted on facebook, as well. They are of the labor day trip to Stanley, Idaho. My dad brought his wicked camper on a 4 hour drive through the narrow, curvy roadways in the mountains. It was well worth it, as you can see the views! It felt like it the closest mountains to the mountains I have in my memories as a 3 year old in Germany. It was amazing. I would like to go back there one day and kayak! My dad made the best shrimp I have ever had in my life while we were up there. It was delicious. Come to think of it, I have yet to get the recipe. I know that Joe will love the recipe, as well. Joe missed out on the camping trip because he was in Germany with the National Guard. It's funny, he was in Germany, and that is all I could think of when I was looking at these mountains! We had an amazing time. It was great to see Nick (after a year or more), Dad, Uncle Jim, Aunt Teresa, and Papa! They made a special trip all the way from Oregon to have lunch with us! Remarkable! Thanks Dad for a wonderful visit in the mountains, all the while in comfort! You, too make it very comfortable to visit! It is always hard to leave, you know that. The mountains definitely give the beach a battle sometimes, huh? However, I think a sailboat in Florida would always win in your mind and mine. :o)

P90X-hardcore workouts.

So, I started this program yesterday with the Chest and Back workout. Woah. It hurt bad!
Now, today I did the Plyometrics Video. I should have implemented the Cardio X, because I was completely not ready for this workout! I made it through half off this workout. However, I can say that this program is no joke, it will definitely get me to where I want to be physically. There are so many components, that my head is spinning. Tomorrow is shoulders & arms, and I am cool with that! My Cardio sucks! Yoga is next after that, totally excited for that. I love yoga.
Soooo, had to leave my update! Off to have a shower, before we get on with the day!

Glens Falls, NY, September 2009!

We had such a great time in New York! We hope that one day we can be there permanently. Pam and Bill always make their home so welcoming, that we feel it is our home away from home. The girls really enjoyed seeing their aunts, uncles, grandparents, great aunts and uncles, and 2nd cousins! We did as well!

Family!

Well, when you take a hard look at family, you can realize that no matter what happens they are what happiness is really about.

Addison is walking now!

Addison is officially walking! She started the day after we returned from New York! She is such an incredibly busy baby!!! She has to try and keep up with her sister, I assume! She is still crawling more than walking, but she's walking about 5-8 steps at a time. She is also pulling herself onto the couch!!!

Peyton is just as gorgeous as ever!!! She is incredibly witty! She comes up with the most interesting things to say!

We love our girls!!

More B-Day Pictures!

OF COURSE, PEYTON IS 3!!!

I just realized I hadn't blogged about Peyton's Birthday. I guess it was because I had spoken with most of you about how it went!

She had an amazing weekend of celebration! My Mom, Grandma, and Grandpa came down for the special occasion! It was so nice to have them there to get excited about Peyton with. We took pictures and did Peyton's cake in the morning of her birthday! Nope, she didn't have to wait for cake that day! lol, I'm sure she is going to wish it was her birthday everyday because she gets cake for breakfast! :o) Well, she did have pancakes earlier? ;o)

Then, we went into Vernal and had a really nice day enjoying each other's company. We took Peyton to the Remember the Maine Park, and she loved it. She was a little perplexed because of the OTHER little girl having a birthday party! We drove up, and she said, "oh, my PARTY." lol, but we explained that her party with her friends would be the next day. She understood and played at the park!

We went home to open her special present! She got a moon bounce for her birthday. She, of course, loved it! She begged the little girl next door to come and play with her. It was really cute how she tried to help her up. "Oh, you want up little baby? Ok, I'll help you. C'mon, stand up." :o) I loved it.

She bounced in the bouncer until it was dark!

The next day, we got everything ready for her party! All of her little friends from her playgroup came with their families. She absolutely loved having everyone over to HER house. It doesn't happen very often, since we live so far out for everyone. Hopefully, that will change soon;o)

All the kids bounced their hearts out! This thing is going to be great for more playgroups! It already made a second appearance and Ethan and Isaac's 3rd Birthday!

Peyton got flooded with Tinkerbell stuff. She got a Tinkerbell costume and shoes. She put them on immediately. She then told me quietly, "You have to help me fly, Mommy." I picked her up and swung her around the room to fly. Then, Joe took over. We were surprised that she wanted to do that. She normally doesn't like people staring at her. It was great to see her so happy, safe, and secure!!!!

It really was the best weekend!!!
Ahhh, Peyton is 3!!!!!

Addison 9 months!

It's always hard to believe the ages of our children. However, Addison is now 9 months. She had her appointment today. She is doing really well. She is hitting the milestones that she needs to be hitting. She is waving, imitating sounds, crawling, pulling to stand, using her hands to feed herself, claps, and many other great things for her age group! She says Momma and Da-da, too. It's fun to hear her say those words. She just really started saying Momma so you could tell this week. It's fun. Especially, when she accompanies the word with her light up the sky smile!!!

Dr. Beales did say that I need to fatten her up. Our little one is 16lbs. They think she's a little underweight. However, I don't think they can grasp just how active this bundle is! She's eating really well. We will move to eating table foods 3 times a day, now. We were doing 1-2, because that is all she would do, with the occasional graham cracker or cheerios etc. We will try harder to get that third feeding in there.

Time for me to get back in the kitchen to make some more baby food! I have some exciting recipes to try with her. One of them, is chicken with apples or something like that? It should be neat to see if she likes the different combinations!

Just wanted to update y'all on little Addie!

Katie is going back to School!!!

I have officially enrolled with Ashford University Online. I am thoroughly excited to begin this long awaited journey! They are 5 week classes, and I plan to do one at a time. I hope to finish 8 within a year! I will be working towards a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. I can change in my Junior or Senior year to make it oriented towards Administration. I think I will stick with the first until we finally settle somewhere I can start an established business!

I am extremely excited about this!!! I can't wait to begin learning!

The Ballard Home is For Sale!!

Our house is officially listed with Nathan Snow of Century 21, in Roosevelt, Utah!
We are very excited to see what the future holds for our family! We hope to eventually be on the East Coast, but until then we are hoping it will work out for us to move to Vernal, Utah. Joe works about 10 minutes past Vernal, which means it is usually a 45 minute drive each way to work. After two years, of doing this faithfully. It's finally hit its toll!

We are hoping the oilfield will start to pick up once again, and will allow us to stay longer in the area. There are many saying that it will, so it will be better for us to be in a home closer to that job!

Everyone pray for us as we are selling our home! We need that special buyer who would love it like we have for the past 2 years!

Our comical story!

We were laying in bed, and all was quiet. As we laid there, we began to listen in on a dripping sound. What is that? Is that the dogs making a noise? Is it a running faucet? I get up and turn the light on to see that the all the faucets are properly turned off in our room. I start to narrow down the sound to the vent in our room.

It's not uncommon to get field mice under the house. We live in what some would think is the middle of nowhere. However, it didn't have that scurrying sound, it had a water sound. What could that be?

Joe gets up to check Peyton's bathroom. What does he find? The toilet is overflowing. The culprit clogging the toilet? A wad of toilet paper the size of half a toilet paper roll. Aigh. I was all over the floor dripping into the air vent in the floor! Joe look in there, and we couldn't see exactly how much was in there.

"Is it deep enough to scoop out with a cup?" Joe asked.  After about 7 scoops from Joe, he hands the cup over to me to inspect the other vents. After about 10 scoops from me, I say enough of this get the shop vac! I went into the over crowded garage and found it. I yanked it inside, only to have trouble remembering how to hook the hose up to suck instead of blow air.

Joe solved that issue, and I put the hose down the vent. Boom, what an amazing tool. There was enough water in there to fill the tank of the shop vac. WOW. It must have been dripping for most of the afternoon!!!

I have since removed the toilet paper rolls out of the bathroom. She now has to ask mom and dad for a tissue when going to the bathroom! The positive is that she is using the bathroom, but the negative is that we flood the bathroom! lol, so we have found the solution to make her understand just how much paper needs to go down the toilet!

Hah, I just had to share!

Time at the park this weekend!

We had such a great time at the park this weekend. We went on Friday afternoon and Sunday. The girls absolutely loved each visit. I think Addison enjoyed the second visit the most. We went up to the walking park and pulled them in the wagon. It was fun to watch the girls play with one another as we pulled them. Peyton would lean forward and hide, and Addison would place her hands on top of her head and squeal! Addison seemed to love the passing scenery, as well as the rocks and pebbles below her.  Peyton grew tired of it, and she begged to be taken to the playground. We did!

She had the most fun playing with Joe. He truly knows how to play like a kid! He's the best! There isn't apart of the park that was left untouched. They tumbled in the grass, and they ran from one corner to another! They were both worn out by the end of the visit.

Addison had a great time going down the slides with our help. She would just get the biggest grin on her face. You could tell that she wanted to continue again and again!

Peyton is so excited for her upcoming Birthday. She keeps talking about her party. She can't wait for balloons, party hats, and cake. I got all the supplies yesterday to make her little personal mini-cake. She's extremely thrilled to have her friends over to her house!

Addison is changing everyday!!! She is using the sign for up and want. She is very loud when she wants something as well. It sounds like a loud cry, but without any tears. She has a very strong will, like Peyton, and demands to be heard:)

She is crying from her bed as I type. That's all for now! Hope you all are having a great week!
